Don’t you find the idea of ‘asking someone to be a friend’ a bit weird? Friendship is something that just happens. If you had to ask, then it was never going to be.
That said, I appreciate that within a social media world, the whole idea of a ‘friend’ has been warped such that any traces of the original concept have vanished.
