Besides Jack…and besides running up the hill after work in order to meet Jack at my little nest…well, I think there are quite a few things that make my heart race in either a good way or a bad way. Recently, I have had some difficult medical situations to deal with – my heart was racing. My heart races when I have to go on stage in front of a large audience – not because of nerves, but in fear that that exposure may reignite another wave of the cruel online comments that were directed towards me in the past. Getting into the shower and realizing we have no hot water makes my heart race. Seeing an email from Goldfinch makes my heart race.
