Yes. Forgiveness is good, but trusting someone who has already proven that he or she cannot be trusted is foolish. I made that mistake many times before I learned my lesson.
Not foolish, but definitely guarded. Yes, sometimes it is hard to forgive and to move on, but we have to in order to grow and to learn. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean you have to have to stick with them. Sometimes it means forgiving them and walking away too.
I’m all in favor of forgiveness. Holding grudges is a waste of time and energy. But I try to learn from my mistakes. If someone I trusted screws me over, I will not give that person another opportunity to screw me over.
I agree, though, I usually give them at least one more chance. I admit, it is HARD to do though, and once that trust is broken, it is extremely difficult to get back.
Yes, but only a second chance. Not a third, fourth, fifth, etc.

Not everybody, Sometimes a broken trust can never be repaired. Most people but not everyone! Forgiveness – yes!
