I just think it is extraordinary that so many people in offices have no idea how many other people are in jobs that involve being on your feet throughout your entire shift, dealing face-to-face with hostile customers, lifting heavy equipment, being a multi-tasker…and often having appalling welfare facilities, low pay and a lack of dignity, respect, appreciation.
I also remember when I was housekeeping – probably the most poor behaviour I saw was in offices. The people who did not seem capable of putting their rubbish in the bin but on the floor next to the bin.
Oh there are so many people who work hard and they do not really receive the appreciation they deserve….and I don’t just meany their wages, I mean respect for what they do.
Care home workers, or at least those who do the job properly (based on my one very traumatising training day in a care home).

I totally agree, Gorgeous. Good care home workers really should get spotlighted more… So much more 🙂
