I agree with Paula. I look at the older ones and cringe. But last night I watched “The Gray Man” on Netflix . Ryan Gosling starring and a young woman who was an integral part of the action, She was in fights overpowering men, with kung fu kicks and chops and rescuing Gosling with a big gun etc. In the old days no woman would have had a part like this in an action movie . So this is not exactly an answer to your Quickie but I think its worth noting that things have changed with the roles of women in film.
It’s a step forward, to be sure, but rather than focusing on the role of women in film and culture it might be nice to focus on the role of guns (and violence generally) in film and culture. Why do ‘action’ movies invariably involve violent death? Giving women roles in such movies might make them more palatable and contemporary ….. but is that a good thing? I think the message that big guns equate to power is one that we should be trying to remove from culture, rather than making it politically correct.
All of the ones I ever liked! When I try them again, I cringe in horror at all the sexism!
