Well …. they produced me, so I thus was given a clear message about the dangers of reproduction, and should have sworn away from such activities.
But I might have slipped up a couple of times ….
They were not much interested in me , a woman, getting a higher education. I went to university and my mother saw it as a complete waste of time. I should have been playing bridge and finding a rich husband.

Forcing us to eat foods we hated, and insisting that we clean up our plates because children somewhere else in the world were starving.
