Silence can truly be golden. There can be many things said in the silence when sitting by someone who is hurting. Compassion isn’t only shown in words. Sometimes there is much more expressed in a silent hug! Or just sitting in the silence because your friend is too upset to speak. Times of silence don’t always need to be filled with words.
I appreciate it. Life in London can be so noisy and life at work is a whirlwind of sounds. So coming back to my little nest and enjoying the silence is important.
Silence is just as important as words.

I’m good with it…except when sleeping. I prefer some sort of white noise, be a sound machine, fan, crickets. Something.

I enjoy the silence, and have ways away from it when it’s just too much. But I prefer the silence. Have had too much noise my whole life.
