We have or should I say HAD two ‘urban ruins”… (see links). Both have been the target of arson attacks, and have now (I believe) been demolished. Sad really. I personally LOVE urban ruins and if I were less lame, I’d go exploring them (when I could climb and walk around without tipping over). These two I’ve highlighted had a lot of history attached to them too. Plus there was an “Indian” School in Brigham City that closed in 1984. The empty campus with a lot of buildings has been partially demolished now to accommodate Utah State University campus in Brigham.
Like most of my surrounding area it is dry unattractive weeds or occupied by small houses, trailer park, strip mall and new hotels. Nothing worth looking at really.
We have some old school houses and churches but they are not abandoned. The Federal Government owns the land which was originally bought for an airport .Now the old buildings are rented and people live in them
There are a lot of shops and restaurants that have closed during the Pandemic.
