      1. It’s the same for me too when I travel even though I consider myself an early riser. I think it’s the excitement and adrenaline that makes us feel awake when we travel. I experienced Golden hour once and will never forget it.

  1. It varies. Sometimes I’ll arise early (5:30 am or so), open my blinds that face south (but I can see East as well a little bit), turn on my fire, and watch the sun come up. It’s very relaxing. Other times it’s dusk (especially in summer) when things cool down, I can open my patio door and pull the screen across and breathe in the air of the summer day and watch dusk creep across the lawn. That’s cozy. But mostly? Just before I settle in for the night. The day is done with whatever foibles crept in, and hopefully sleep beckons. They’re all great!

    1. It varies for me too… When at home, and in my normal routine, I’m more of a night owl, and I enjoy the late evening hours. But when I’m on vacation, especially far away from home, I am up first thing in the morning, and I like to hunt the best place to watch the sun rise πŸ˜‰

    1. 4 am?? Wow… On vacation, I can do 4 am, but on my working schedule, it is just pure torture πŸ˜‰ But you are right, it is such a peaceful time of the day πŸ™‚

      1. Sunday morning and I could sleep in. Instead I was up and making coffee at 5:05. That though was in part due to a certain Lucky finding herself locked in with two stinky boys and desperate to leave said room. She now is sleeping peacefully and I am reading news and emails. Checking in with all the blogs. Have a wonderful Sunday Cranny. πŸ€“πŸ€—β˜•πŸ’œ

    1. Late morning usually means me being at my desk providing technical support over the phone… So I don’t enjoy it as much as you do, for the moment. But I have a feeling that things might change, when I retire (sometime, in many many many years LOL)

    1. I love the night’s quietness… I guess that’s why I’ve always been a night owl. Nothing bad can happen during the night (well… Of course there are exceptions, but they’re just that, exceptions), and I love that. Quietness, stillness and calmness… Win-win!

  2. At the moment, work is intense – so right now. I have to admit, the best time of day is when I slip into bed and snuggle up under the covers. The problem is that that happy feeling does not last long. Within seconds I am fast asleep and before I know it my alarm is going off!!!
