Sunscreen…

You’re asking
For tips, seeking advice
But as a friend,
I’m not sure I’d advise
You to put
Your confidence in me…
I have the wisdom
Of a goldfish, you see?
I could tell you
To do this or do that
But I doubt I could help you,
No matter what.
Take what fits you
Leave out the rest,
Not all my recommendations
Are the best…
If unprotected,
You’ll burn your skin,
So trust me, really,
On the sunscreen!

  1. Haha! I love how you did this. This “song” if one can call it that, is inspirational and contradictory at the same time. I wondered if the words would distract from writing, I know I had some trouble, but in the end, it turned out pretty well. 😊

  2. I must say that this piece was a bit destabilizing at first! The many, many words disracted me at first, but then I just stuck to the main line…. A real challenge 😉 Thank you for choosing the piece, it was gret to work with!
