Yeah, for the most part. I loved my history and English courses, but my favorite was Concert Choir. Add in the freindships, it wasn’t all to shabby. LOL!
I had very mixed feelings about school from start to finish. I liked some of the lessons. I liked some of the teachers. I liked some of the kids. The rest was one mighty endurance test! I love that I learnt to do handstands, how to make daisy chains and they let me do crazy stunts on the trapeze. They were the best things about school.
Our school was burnt down by an eleven year old and two fourteen year old boys. That meant we had to be transported across town to a high school with some spare classrooms.
I got through school with top grades, never experienced bullying, stayed out of trouble for the most part, was on every sports team, and had a decent bunch of friends. We were fairly popular. But I still was wary of them. I was so relieved to leave school. I cannot tell you.
However, I love learning. Always have, always will.
I couldn’t get enough of it and would go back tomorrow if they’d take me. But my love for it had little to do with learning – not in the classroom, anyway.
