Wow! I didn’t expect that! Isn’t it funny how we tend to categorize when certain types of foods should be eaten or drunk? At first I thought, ”whuuut?” and then I realized, why not? If it starts your day on a good note, and gives you the boost of cafeine and sugar you need, go for it 🙂 xx
To uncover Peanut (Parrot) and greet one another. We chat for a little while, I change his food and water, then it’s time to rub the head.
He is my first priority even before coffee.
It reminds me of the time when we had a parrot too. Her name was Dolores, and I rushed every morning to uncover her cage, and open the door… Good memories 🙂
What type of parrot was Dolores? (Love the name).
Night time is my favorite. We can sit and cuddle, and he coos like a baby while I give him his rub down and kisses on his neck. He is just so soft and sweet.
She was a what we call a Youyou in French… I think it is a Senegal parrot in English. She looked just like this:
I loved having a parrot, but we couldn’t take it back with us to Canada… Mom and Dad had insisted that she didn’t have her wings cut, like most parrots that the people sold over there. So when we moved, we released her in nature, where she had lived most of her life.
Pretty little thang! Aww!!! I could never imagine freeing Peanut to nature. He would die instantly. He is so spoiled by me, besides I would die too of a broken heart. He’s my baby.
It wasn’t easy to let her go, but we knew she still had her wild animal instincts, and that since we couldn’t take her back to Canada, it would be the best life for her… We just couldn’t trust anyone to treat her as well as we did. She was a great parrot, and probably got to brag about her years of being treated like a princess LOL
Mouahahahahahahahahaha you kill me Cheryl (in a good way, of course) 🙂 Hey! We do tend to forget the obvious, uh? 😉 That’s one of my absolute needs too 😛
I think it is a must for a lot of people! I wish I enjoyed the taste of coffee, because I absolutely love the smell of it, but I just can’t drink it. Have a good cup tomorrow, Barb! xx
Oh, you wise man 😉 That made me laugh out loud!! You are absolutely right… I have started a couple of days, not completely awaken, and they are the worst! Awefully hard to concentrate at work, when you are still halfway in dreamland 😛 Thanks for participating, Rory xx
Ah! Finally someone on my team!! I love the smell of coffee, but I can’t drink it. But I love tea… It is a great start for a fine day, although I prefer a tall glass of cold milk during summer. The refreshment is appreciated 😉
A true coffee lover uh? As I already said, I love the smell, but I never got used to the taste… But I make excellent coffee, since both my parents are addicted to a good black brew 😉
Ok, seen how many of you need a good cup of the hot black beverage, I think I’ll start preparing a pot, every morning in The Cove, to attract more people around 😛
I was expecting that a lot of people would say that 🙂 And I can understand, the smell of good coffee alone is addictive. Too bad I can’t drink it… Have a good cup tomorrow morning 🙂 xx
Caffeine. Not the traditional coffee though…I usually get a big glass of coke, full of ice, to start my day. It really gets me through too! 🙂

Your little Dolores was the princess, and Peanut is “King Emerald Dumpling” around here. AKA “Pretty Peanutbutter Butt”. LOL!
