I am very ambiguous about them. There are some I enjoyed, but overall I am not a big fan either. As you said, I appreciate the talent on stage, but I can appreciate how good a curling team is without being able to watch a whole game ๐
I love musicals… There is a certain electricty that fills the air with a live show… A certain energy that fills you up inside.
I have seen so many musicals in my life, and each one of them filled me with such a joy.
There is so much that goes into a musical, not only the performers, but the entire crew. You have to admire all the hard work it takes to put on a live performance. Amazing!!!
I’ve seen amazing ones, and some that I just didn’t get…. But I agree with you that it takes a whole team of very talented people to put up such a show! What’s been your favorite one, so far? ๐
Like anything else, it depends on the composition. I loved The Phantom, but didn’t like Cats so much. Plus, I was freaked out when those dancers dressed as cats just stared.
Mouahahhahaha it is already scary to look at a cat staring back at you… I can’t imagine a whole crew of cat people ๐ I haven’t had the chance to see either one, but one I really liked was Notre-Dame de Paris, though I doubt it traveled South of the border….
Wow, that movie did quite an impression on you, right? I’ll have to check the preview on YouTube! In the movie musicals, I must say that I really liked Moulin Rouge! But I had the worse time at the theater watching Evita with Madonna… Worst case of eye rolling, ever! LOL (to my defense, I didn’t know it was a musical before it started playing :P)
Hello, Dear Friend… I have just selected you for the “321 Quote Me” Topic – Hope… Because I know you are hoping for your trip back to your favorite place!!!!
I thought the Pirates of Penzance was brilliantly done, that was years ago. So much colour and fun. And phantom of the opera was good too, on the complete opposite spectrum. It depends on whatโs on, mostly I can take them or leave them, though I have to admit the energy of live music production is amazing on stage.
I can take them or leave them. While I can appreciate the skills, Iโm generally not gonna go out of my way to attend one.

That’s a tough one to answer. I don’t just have one favorite. I have over 30shows that rank in the “Favorite” category. LOL!

Loved and imitated musicals most of my life. But reawakened my passion after seeing The Greatest Showman in a movie theater. Saw it three times!

I want them outlawed. The bigger and grander the production the more seriously I view the crime.

I think the public execution of Andrew Lloyd Webber would send an appropriate message

And what is the best you’ve seen, either ”live” or on the screen?

I never heard about that one… I agree that the energy and the talent is very impressive, even when the musical is not all that good ๐
