Are you capable of letting yourself lazy-out? If so, do you feel guilty for giving yourself time to do absolutely nothing productive?
I’m the Jedi MISTRESS of ‘lazying out’. According to certain members of my family at least. Me? I’ve had a hard time, relatively, adjusting to forced retirement and the periods of time that there is nothing to do, well nothing pressing anyway. But now I enjoy my relaxation a great deal; in fact too much sometimes. So do I feel guilty? Not in the least.
I use to beat myself up mentally speaking when I gave in to rest. I have learned that if I push myself way too hard, I make myself stress out even more.
I now listen to my body and my mind. If I need to take a laziness break, I just go ahead and cave into that mode. Take a cat nap helps refresh and recharge my batteries. 😉
I don’t often get the chance to…so when that rare opportunity comes along I make the most of it and I absolutely do not feel guilty. Being able to switch off and totally rest for a limited time is essential for me to be able to maintain my otherwise hectic schedule.
Sometimes, I’m fine with doing nothing at all…just not very often.

Yep,. I’m learning to spend more time not trying to conquer the world and to rest and reflect.

Sometimes, but there is inherent guilt at the end!

I have to be away from home to ‘lazy out’. At home, I am sorry to say, I cannot do it.

I’d feel pretty guilty if I know I had something to do. If not I do enjoy my days off

Yes, sometimes. When it’s required. There are times when you’re hell exhausted and all you want to do is nothing. That’s okay.
