Strident,
this screaming silence…
Lonely howl in the night.
You lament,
killing credence,
hopeless craving to fight.
Seeking the surface
Scratching the walls
Searching through darkness
Squirming and all
Strident,
The blinding pain,
shaking your whole body
Patience,
useless and vain…
Life no more a symphony.

Brilliant! Every line is powerful, and as I read I hurt. What a piece!
