Missed call…

I missed a call from Denmark today.

A phone call. I was in the bathroom, and I couldn’t get to my phone before the voice mail picked up. When I checked, there was no pending message.

I recognized the country code right away. 45. My heart skipped a beat.

I didn’t know the rest of the number, and I didn’t dare to call back… It was a mistake, that’s 100% sure. Only one person in Denmark has my home phone number. And there is NO way, this call came from them.

It was most probably one of these companies that use computers to speed dial totally random numbers.

Of all the countries in the world, what were the odds Denmark would call my home?

I want to be excited about it. I want to be happy that DK called me. Even if it was just a misdial, even if it didn’t mean anything. I want to see it as if Vikingland was winking my way.

But for some reason, it makes me melancholic.

Dang!

    1. Thanks Gorgeous 🙂 (sorry, it was one hell of a day!!) I do like to think that it can’t be just a coincidence… I hope it wasn’t 🙂 It could mean a couple of things, and all of them would make me really happy 🙂

  2. Listen to your “gut” feeling; your spirit is telling you the truth. The call was not a mistake nor just by chance. Everything is ordered. Yes, it was what you were hoping for… A sign? Yes! Listen to your inner spirit and follow your heart… It’s even more greater when you have the flutters and doubt. That’s how you know it’s REAL! #Get Excited!!

    1. I love your point of view 🙂 And I sure hope you are right… I usually trust my gut feelings, but this was just too unexpected to feel true.

      I think your comment was just what I needed to believe in the “unlikely”… A wise man once told me “don’t try so hard, you’ll always get what you want, in the end.” Maybe Life is just telling me to be patient 🙂

  4. ohhh that’s a bit spooky after me saying I wish they’d issue you an invite!
    Personally I couldn’t stand the suspense I would have to call them back just to know …

    1. LOL I did have a thought about your comment when I realized it was DK.

      But I just couldn’t call back… I prefered to keep the mystery, rather to hear some call-center agent answer my call 😛

    1. LOL I had a feeling that was swearing 😉 I Googled the number, and funny thing, even if it is not their exact number, the first entry showing up is the information for Denmark’s Ministry of Culture 😛 Interesting 🙂
