We had the best disguise, standing as ourselves… Nameless in the crowds, we walked the world, conquering ground with every new step taken. If only they had known… Or did they start to suspect something? Mayhem waiting in the shadows, rampage hungry for blood. What had been would be no more. Nevermore.
Apart we were fierce, but together we’d be deadly. Masters of chaos, guardians of Pandora’s box, ready to spread our plagues on the earth. Had we been angels, things would have been very different, but it wasn’t our nature. Creatures of the night, we kept walking against the tide, towards our meeting point.
At the end of our pathless journey, finding each other by sheer instinct, you opened your arms and embraced me again, at last. On our own, we had been havoc, but reunited, we were apocalypse waiting to happen…
Standing on the hill, looking down on the city, you nodded as I pulled the detonator from my pocket. Fate coming to its end, you covered my hand with yours. Smiling, we pressed to end their world, and create our haven…
In silence, watching it all blow up in flames…
