This title just doesn’t sound right… For a French speaking girl it doesn’t. “Une couche” (plural: des couches) is a diaper. So my brain being on the French/English switch when I blog, I can’t get passed the awkwardness of shopping for diapers… Not that it is awkward per say. But I don’t have a baby, and I have not reached the golden age requiring wearing diapers myself.
Going astray already, am I not? So, yes, couch shopping.
I have developed a weird passion for couches and sofas lately. It was pretty sudden, but I think it was just waiting for me in a corner of my mind.
At first I thought I just wouldn’t find the couch of my dreams because the websites I had visited were always in other countries, as if there were no couch where I wanted one. And there’s just no moving couches from one country to another, that’d be planin silly.
And yesterday, BAM! The oasis of “just where I wanted them to be” couches offered itself to me! Some brand new, some who have known their load of øre in the cushions’ cracks, some not so comfortable, but comfort is not at the top of my list when it comes to couch selection criterias.
No, location and availability are the only things that matter.
You’d be surprised how many couches are available out there, waiting to welcome your worn out butt for the evening. So I am shopping for the best selection, and trying to set my mind on about seven of them, in the best places I can think of. When that’s done, I will be ready to go test them one by one. Two days per couch, that seems reasonable, given that I don’t trust first impressions… I am going to have a dang good time!
