Same here, when I’m cooking something I’m not really familiar with. But I like to give it my own twist (either because I am lacking some of the ingredients, and try to switch them with available ones… Or just because I feel like it 😛 ) Big hugs, dear Bee xx
Me too 😉 Chéri is now used to the fact that when I show him a recipe… The result will probably look a little like it, but with a few added ingredients, and some of them missing too. As long as it tastes good, he agrees with my cooking improvisation sessions 😛
There are a few things I need a recipe for, especially things I don’t make very often. But most of the time I wing it. I’m pretty good at making stuff up as I go along, and luckily my husband is not a fussy eater.
We’re definately on the same wave length 😉 I must say… You gave me a good giggle with ”I wing it”. I’m pretty sure the pun wasn’t intended… But coming from the Bluebird of Bitterness… Excellent! Mouahahahahaha
Improvisation is a key ingredient in my kitchen. 🙂

we have a few days at the end of the month, which is shove anything in and pray, does that count?

LOL, some might call it mandatory improvisation, but if you manage to feed the three of you, and no one gets sick, I say it DOES count! 😉 xx

My two don’t get sick, I swear I could feed them raw chicken and they would be fine

I need a recipe to get the ingredients and the amounts right. The rest is pure free-style with varying success 🤣 😎

Big hugs back. It’s the same here: usually I lack some ingredients or feel creative. Have a great Wednesday 😍

I prefer a recipe. On my own, it is unlikely to turn out very pretty.

Safe choice 😉 I wouldn’t mess with backery recipes, but when it comes to soups or stews… I don’t hesitate to pimp it a little 😛

It’s really cool, isn’t it? Sometimes it doesn’t work out as expected, but when it does… It is so satisfying 🙂
