I totally agree, Rob. But if I may add a little nuance, is it just me, or did we evolve for a while, and then took the wrong curb, and obliviously stalled?
Evolution is evolution. And when it is all based upon survival, the results are not always ideal. If shitty people keep winning, people will get shittier. If egotism gets on top of us, we’ll all end up as intolerable egotists.
So be careful what you wish for.
Though, personally, I’m rather hoping that old, overweight, quiet people become the cultural ideal.
