When I was in middle school, almost everyone wore converse sneakers. Those things looked so cool. I had wanted one so bad but they were expensive. A few years ago, I finally got a pair and they were so heavy. Maybe I just need to get used to it but I felt like I had just bought a pair of bricks for my feet.
When I was a kiddo, I dreamed of going in an aeroplane…oh I thought it must be the most amazing feeling. I was 17 I think the first time I flew – and it was just not particularly enjoyable at all.
Discovering the disappointment of what being an attorney was compared to the joy of law school. Like tasting a sample of an ice cream you think will be great and it turns out quite differently!! Boo!
Revisited a place I’d visited (and loved) many years earlier, and was appalled at how it had deteriorated. Nowadays when I’m tempted to revisit places I once loved and haven’t seen in ages, I squelch the urge.
