What I struggle with is “silent treatment”. Years ago when Jack and I were housemates (before we were romantically involved) when he was upset with me, he used to be in a terrible grump, and he would not speak to me, he would give me strange looks and then turn away. The silent hostility was awful. So when we got together, I told him that I could not go through that again. So far so good.
All men and women are imperfect. All say or do something wrong or foolish. It is the attitude they show regarding what they have done that is the clincher. It is endearing when you see someone heartbroken with regret and remorse about doing or saying something they know is wrong, and coming to you to try to heal the damage and restore trust.
A relationship with too high expectations is unlikely to endure.
Red flag? Relationships are all about white flags.
