Lots of things have stuck.
But when I was 16, I sat with a director who had to make decisions over who to invite to take up a special assignment. He heard hos brief comments on each person, which had a deep impact on me. To sum up his decisions, he turned to me and said, “they are all good people, all want to help, all love this kind of work, but what we are need is AVAILIBILITY and HUMILITY.
A mentor once told me, be yourself, no one else is better qualified. That comment always stuck with me! Xo
