From very recent experience, water…hands down. It’s a vital part of life, you can’t live without it. Electricty is very handy, but man lived without it for millennia. It might be uncomfortable for a while but we would eventually adjust…at least some of us would.
I’m really sorry you had to go through all that trouble… But you are right, water is absolutely essential. But when I thought about the question, I was imagining a situation where I could get water, just not have it running conveniently from the tap. And in that case, I’d probably decide to keep electricity, at least during winter 😉
I am a bit torn… During winter I think I’d prefer to keep electricity. It’s the only way to keep warm, and we have tons of frozen water in the backyard waiting to be melted 😛
Well, if I lived where you live, I might say the same thing. But where I live there’s no snow and it doesn’t get that cold and we’re in the middle of a drought. So water!
Ultimately, I’d say the same… But right now and here, I think I’d prefer to keep my electricity. Yes, I’d miss water more in summer, and electricity in winter LOL
Where I live (in another galaxy, almost ….far far away) our water comes from the roof and is stored in concrete tanks. In order to bring it into the house we require a pump and that pump requires electricity.. so if we lose electricity then we lose tap water, but if we lose tap water we don’t lose electricity. So electricity wins.
Tap water, without a doubt

I’ve survived electricity failure but no tap water is so very tough.

Right now, I’d choose electricity. It would keep me warm and I could boil snow to get water 😛

We’ve become electricity slaves, haven’t we? 😉

I would miss them both, but since you can survive without electricity, but not without water, I’d miss water the most.

Water for lots of reasons – drinking obviously…and I want to be clean. I hate not being able to have a wash.
