Yeah I actually do use a pen name for my ‘art’. It’s long and unwieldy too, and was a very bad idea, but seemed good at the time. Sometimes the only way we learn is by making some really stupid mistakes, yeah?
My “art” – I have to admit I don’t think anyone would ever be particularly interested enough for it to matter too much what my name was.
Caramel, Mel Finch are writing names. Caramel is my persona.
I feel I have no choice but to use a writing name because of Jack. Jack is not Jack’s real name. I cannot possible risk anyone identifying him. I don’t want any attention either.
Dorothy Prothero. I used to use this pen name when I was writing for magazines in England. I remember the letters of Prothero had some meaning for me at the time but I’ll be darned if I can remember what it is now. And….I was never famous.
I never gave it much thought before. However, I might. It’s an option.

I think I would. At least at first… I’d like my words to travel, but I don’t feel the need to have a famous name š

Neither do I. I want to be a woman of mystery, with an exotic name. Muwaahhahhaa! š š

No. I would want people to know the real me, not the “fake” me.

Interesting… Why do you think you’d be ”faker” if you wrote under a pen name? š

I don’t know if I would be a faker, but I just don;t think it would be the real me. It would be like another personality or another person.

I don’t think I would be comfortable using my real name. But you might be the master of the world by then, so everyone would know you already! š

And why was it a bad idea, in the long run, if I may ask?
