A night out in København…

Back from a long day at work…

I throw my bags on the living room’s armchair and head to the kitchen to heat myself a small bowl of hot, slow cooked chili in the microwave. Yeah, sometimes, I’m lazy like that.

I eat my loot without any rush, catching up with some correspondence that cannot wait. And there it is. His confirmation. He’s taking me out tonight. Not that I had doubted him, but after his long day, I figured I might have to wait… Seems I won’t.

I draw myself a burning hot bath. A girl can’t attend a date like that smelling of the frustrations “du jour”. I rub off all the tensions and kept in get backs of the day, and shave my legs to be at my best.

Before getting dressed, I spray a cloud of Christian Dior’s Dolce Vita on my nude body. Some might think it smells a little older than I really am, but the magnolia, cinnamon and cedar touches fit me just fine… They make me feel somewhat classy. It is just the smell of me, take it or leave it.

I put a little bit of pinkish lip gloss, and mascara. I am not going hunting in a dark smokey bar after all… No, I just want to do justice to the arm he’ll offer me to hold when we’ll walk together.

I know there will be downlooking looks again tonight. ” Just what are those two doing together? ” “I bet he’s full of cash, look at her giggling with sparkling eyes…  She can’t find him THAT interesting!” “He should be reasonable… That just doesn’t make sense!”

But I don’t mind the judgement of the pedestrians… All that matters is our walk in the streets of København the Beautiful. His well picked anecdotes, and witty puns. His nice mysterious voice, switching from English to Danish and back again… I could almost walk with my eyes closed like a blind woman hung to his elbow.

Oh wait, it’s him… He’s knocking on the door!

Sorry, I have to go. It is time for my storytelling from Mr Garrison Keillor… Lucky me!

    1. If only it wasn’t just in my head… There are some people like that, I’d just love going on long walks with. Saying nothing, just listening to their tales under the stars… In København, or elsewhere… 😉
