Everybody knows Häagen Dazs ice cream… What everybody doesn’t know, it that although the company is American, the brand’s name was invented as a tribute to Denmark. The founder wanted a Danish-sounding name but it is completely made up, and doesn’t mean anything (in any language).
In real life, Häagen Dazs couldn’t be a true Danish name, Danish not using umlaut, or tremas… (not sure what to use in English) You know, those 2 little dots on the “a”!
It will not make me eat ice cream, though… I am just not a sweet girl.
