    1. That’s a good one too. I must admit that although I try to pay every one of my bills on time, I am not fully aware of my rating. I should put more thought into that, thank you for the reminder 🙂

  1. Oh…oh….potentially long list….

Flossing. Look the way it was explained to me by my hygienist was this: FLOSS OR DIE. The benefits of flossing are truly awesome. However, if you don’t make time for flossing, you are likely to end up one sick puppy and that is besides the state of your teeth and gums. Flossing has huge health benefits.

Too many people I know don’t wipe down the shower cubicle after showering. They just leave limescale and soap-scum to harden into this disgusting chalky barrier that frosts up the glass and tiles, and makes their grout go a gooey orange and eventually red/brown.

lol – I would love to give mandatory training to every child. You don’t just shower and go. After showering, apply a thin mist of a diluted eco-friendly cleaning agent, squeegee the glass and tiles, and then wipe off with an absorbent cloth.

Similarly with the kettle – are we descaling regularly? Please do say you are.

Now we are on the subject of clearing up after ourselves – too many facemasks on the pavement and clogging up gutters. Not funny. Always, always pick that litter up.

Also…I worry still that too many people are being overly careless with social media. That photo showing too much cleavage, or holding a beer bottle, etc – so many educational establishments, organisations and companies check the social media accounts of applicants nowadays.

Then there is food wastage – this is just beyond silliness. Overconsumption for a start is not a good idea for health reasons, and the old romanticaroo life. The demand on this planet for meat is scandalous. Reducing the amount of meat intake is so so important (ok I am a vegetarian, but this is not just because I think so, please look at how rearing cattle for meat is effecting habitats of wild animals who are being pushed and pushed closer to extinction for the sake of burgers and steaks). And all the food that is thrown away. Please learn how to shop properly, how to use leftovers…or just freeze them.

There is a great deal of practical education that we all need to be able to look after ourselves, our homes, our planet properly. To paraphrase the words of my hygienist – DO THIS OR DIE! Well…it should not come to that. But the point is really – when we are doing what we are supposed to do….we thrive. Look after people and planet – the benefits will be far far far greater than any sacrifices.

    1. Wow… this is a thorough answer, Caramel 😉 This Quickie really seems to have spoken to you! Thank you for taking the time to provide all these good examples.

I agree with you for all of them. I must say that Chéri and I have worked really hard to reduce our food wasting. Not that we were throwing appaling amounts of food in the past, but now, we rarely put anything edible in the trash anymore.

The disposable masks littering point made me cringe. It is the same here… So many people just throw them to the floor, when they get out of stores or public transportation, and we can find some everywhere in town. People really have to wake up and stop it!

Again, thank you for the long answer 😉 Have a lovely Sunday evening!

    1. Good ones, Rebecca. Unfortunately ”difference” makes a lot of people scared instead of curious. And that is sad… If each and everyone of us made an effort to be just a tiny little bit more open minded, it would make such a difference in our world. And yes, sometimes, just saying ”hello” or smiling when we come accross strangers would make a difference 🙂

    1. I must say that I’ve tried to understand the US voting system, and I failed so far. It seems so complicated that I have the feeling that an election could be rigged…. *Sigh*

    1. Hey there, Madame Suze 🙂 🙂 🙂 Yeah, I think that a lot of people feel the same way. That’s very unfortunate, and I hope that the winds will turn sooner than later! xx
