In the long run, do you really think it pays off to be the kind type?

  1. I’m presuming (because I’ve morning brain fog) that “the kind type’ is a person who is generally kind? I think it does pay off, overall to be kind to others. To remember we’re all fighting some sort of battle, which might not be apparent to a stranger. Putting that altruistic attitude into practice is a lot harder to do than say though. I also believe that what we put out “there’ is what we get back in return. Explains a few things about my life. 😉

  2. I try to be kind, but I have to admit, it’s not always easy. There is too much anger and unhappiness; I don’t want to add to it. If you are nice to someone, they might be nice back.

  3. Yes, certainly! Then again, this may be influenced by the fact that I’m a Christian and therefore believe that, even if humanity won’t reward the kindhearted, God will.

  4. I witness it all the time. People who live by kindness are often loved, sometimes they don’t even realize how much and by how many!

But I suspect that in the future, the world will be a different place to the current system that allows people to be aggressive and work only towards their own interests. I am sure we will live in a world where kindness is as abundant as the ocean, and anyone who chooses unkindness will be an extreme rarity.

  5. Kindness is great and goes a long way, however, people also need to be realistic. Unfortunately, NOT everyone is kind or values kindness. If you are are not realistic and refuse to accept this truth, you will be in for a very harsh reality. I wish everyone was kind, but the truth of the matter, is that so many people are not and we have to be prepared for that as well.
