I think that’s a safe way to go. Laws are laws after all, and not following them can get you into serious trouble. On the other hand, ”Shoulds” give you more flexibility in your decisions 😉
Interesting! I tend to follow the rules by the book unless I can detect ambiguity and then I will tend to bend or break them. And then, sometimes rules and laws are wrong or unjust and need to be broken and changed! Just me! Ha!
I agree… Societies evolve, and as they do, we must readjust the rules that every citizen should follow. (Hey, at some time back in history, it seems that in North Carolina, horses weren’t allowed into Inns, unless they wore pants – So a regular dusting of old, needless laws sounds like a reasonable thing to do, from time to time :P)
I was a major legalist back in my youth (it’s how I was brought up). The older I get, the less legalistic I become. If I live long enough I could eventually devolve into an anarchist.
LOOOOL Years ago, I almost created a blog with a dear blogging friend, that would have been called ”Boring Bitches”. It doesn’t really exist to this day, but you’d be most welcome to collaborate if it did 😉
More of a rule follower than breaker

Me too… Unless the rule really makes no sense, I don’t see the point in trying to bend it.

I Follow most rules. Don’t need issues for not following them.

Same here… I don’t feel the need to confront authorities and defy rules. Unless the rules is obviously not making any sense 😉

Can’t say I’m really surprised 😉 Have you always been on the benders’ side, or did it come as the years went by?

As I grew older, the more of a rule-bender I became.

I follow the law and workplace rules. I’m not great with social “shoulds.”
