Xiphoid: adj – Sword-shaped.
I love my knives… Let me correct myself. I love knives.
It could almost be worrying. When I moved out of my parents’ home in 1999, I curiously started to stock on knives. Not intendedly, but I already knew that a good knife was a safe knife, and I made sure to buy the best blades I could afford.
And back in 1999, that meant Walmart’s best affordable knives, which wasn’t very high on the knife quality range.
But I moved on, and moved in with Chéri and we worked really really hard to lift our finances up.
And last year, I got not one, but two amazing Japanese chef-level knives. One for Christmas, and the other one for my birthday (the blade shown above is my birthday gift). And, may I say, that is well spent money because I use them almost daily.
I wouldn’t recommend breaking into our home. Because I know where my sharpened babies are, and though I don’t want to use them on living things (aside herbs), I will, if I have to. And I’ve cut myself accidentally a couple of times, already. They are “don’t mess with me” sharp.
Take a chance if you will… Good luck if you do 😉
This year, I am dedicating my A to Z Challenge to revisiting 26 of my favorite Instagram pictures, and the memories that cling to them. If you’d like to get the full list of my challenge post, just click here.
