Well enough to say hello and to have lightweight conversations. We moved into this neighborhood just as the coronavirus hit. Thus, interactions with our new neighbors has been limited. But maybe later this year, if we can return to “normal,” we’ll get to know them better.
Covid sure didn’t make it easy for people who moved into new neighbourhoods. Funny thing for us, since a lot of people are now working from home, and we have an 8PM curfew, I’ve never seen my neighbours that much in the last 10 years. We didn’t get to know them better, but at least, now we know we have neighbours LOL
Yeah I think that’s a big difference… My parents have a house, and they know pretty much everybody in the neighbourhood. We live in an apartment, and I know only 2 of our neighbours, one because she’s a friend and a co-worker, and the others because they are our landlords 😉
extremely well. the ones to the north are a retired mom and her son, Lee. Lee is my handyman/son/plumber. Brenda, his mum, works part-time to supplement her retirement, and we spend a good deal of time when she is off gardening or just sitting on my porch gabbing. The ones to the south are Johnny, Sally, Braailie (my adopted grand daughter), Christian Sam, my “grandson” who has spent so much time growing up and asking questions that for several years he took over my blog! next to them is Laura and Robert. Rob is disabled vet who repairs lawnmowers, and Laura is my go to for gardening questions…….I love them all.
On one side, pretty well. The other one not so well as she lives abroad most of the time.

It is pretty hard to get to know people who aren’t there, isn’t it? 😉

Yes, and not too friendly either.

Better to keep away from them, then. You don’t need that kind of people in your life 🙂

I know! But one thing I must say, they are thoughtful neighbors. Never bothered us.

Oh, that’s good to know. Ten just keeping a distance is the best 🙂
