What’s one new habit you won’t leave behind, when the pandemic is over?

  1. It’s not exactly a ‘good’ habit I suppose (from one perspective), but that is to limit my interaction with people. I did that before Covid, but it’s worse since last year. I see no reason to discard my frugal pick & choose of where and when I go someplace.

    1. I totally get it. I think a lot of people will feel the same. Actually, I think there will be two kinds of people, when we don’t have to worry about the damn virus anymore. Some who, like you, will keep their face-to-face social activities to a minimum. And the others, who will get together with as many people as they can, as often as they can 😉

  2. using my handy-handy touchkey for punching stuff..like for putting in my keycode on the debit machine at stores. So much better than using a finger and picking up germs.

    1. I can’t believe we still don’t have one of those… Then again, we so rarely go out that we wouldn’t use it all that much. Maybe I should buy one for the after covid era 😛

    1. Hahahahahahaha… Yeah, our online shopping has gone through the roof too. Now, we get out of the apartment every couple of weeks, more to give the car a little ride and keep it rolling smoothly than anything else. We can get pretty much anything we need on The Internets 😉

    1. From what I’ve read from various scientists, the thing with viruses like covid-19 is that they usually mutate to assure that we don’t get rid of them. Becoming more deadly is not a good ”strategy” since killing people doesn’t help the spreading. New variants, being more contagious are more likely (from what I’ve read), and if that’s true, with enough people getting vaccinated, covid-19 might become the new flu.

Then again… Let’s not forget that shit can always hit the fan 😉

    1. I am not familiar with the term ”Personal shopper”… Do you mean that you have someone shopping on your behalf? If so, I understand you… We’ve been getting our groceries delivered for the last year (haven’t been in a grocery store since… not even once) and you are right! It forces us to think ahead, and we don’t buy extra stuff just because ”why not?” 😉

  3. If, and I agree with Fandango it is an IF, the Pandemic is finally over I will keep using my little touch thingy for keying in stuff at gas stations and banks etc. I would rather not touch those keypads again. Ever.

    1. Maybe you could plan a yearly, or by-yearly seclusion period, once we are over with this virus? That way, you’d be making it a habit… Until the next world pandemic 😉

  4. So last February, I started looking around at all the communal ways we could pass the virus onto each other at work. For over a year I have not used the kettle and microwave and fridge in our kitchen/canteen. I always take sandwiches/fruit and more importantly I always take a easy drink Thermos with either my home percolated coffee or tea. I don’t think I will go back to using the kitchen equipment even when we are less anxious about the virus. I don’t want to share a kettle and a microwave with fifty other people anymore.
