not really. I think we make choices. If “good things” happen that we weren’t expecting, I don’t think it is “luck”. I think it is serendipity. There’s a word of the day for ya Cyr! Aren’t you LUCKY? lol
I sure am 😉 I’m still not too sure about where I stand with the luck/serendipity/fate thing… In general, I think we make our own luck by the choices that we make, but what about lotery? If I buy a ticket and win the jackpot, what else but luck is that?

Absolutely. I’ve seen and experienced both, although more bad luck than good it will be said. Is that because of my innately gloomy outlook? Possibly. I’ll just go with ‘luck’ and that old song that says “If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all!”
LOL I love that line… I’d like to think that we get what we worked for, but that would also mean that Life is sometimes punishing me for stuff I don’t remember having done 😛
Well, I’m a cynical guy who doesn’t believe in fate, predestination, or stuff like that. So take my comment about luck with a grain of salt, as they say.

I believe in fate, uncontrollable. But anything really good I think of luck.

I think there’s some of that… But it still doesn’t seem to explain all the good (and bad) things that happen to us. But I might be wrong 😉
