Now there’s an important point that isn’t obvious. We’re invisible, right? Are things we touch made invisible too? Because if that’s the case, I’m visiting the local bank, into the vault and taking several stacks of cash, which is deftly transferred into the handy carpetbag I have for the purpose. This carpetbag goes in the back of my deepest, messiest closet, where I visit it time to time, (after a suitable couple of three years) and take a bill or two out of one of the stacks (or a stack if the need is urgent). I never worry about money ever again….just robbers! 😉
Ooooh – hard one – my first impulse was to say – sneak onto a plane to take me to see Goldfinch.
But I am trying to think of a noble use of invisibility.
How about….doing little lovely things for people on an invisible level – so they don’t know it was you who did it. Paying for people’s shopping, making colleagues a cup of tea, sneaking little gifts to people who are sad at the moment. Doing laundry/ironing for people. I am not sure how I would get around to all these places – but it would be nice to do kind things without anyone realizing it was me.
Sometimes I think I am invisible. That is a common thing for older women. And to be honest I enjoy that invisibility! It liberates me and lets me get away with things a younger and visible woman could not.
This just made me laugh😍

totally invisible? I can’t say what I would do as I would inevitably end up in a federal prison…sigh.
