sitting on my front porch swing, Gunnar at my side, a cup of chai in my hands. Just watching and listening to the world. It relaxes me, and energizes me at the same time.
I think that a lot of people have turned to the pleasure of eating the past year… And I think that’s good, since we’ve been robbed of so many other pleasures 😉
Reading! Been at it since I was 4 and whether I can read for a long period or just 15 minutes it brightens my day as it takes me to another place for just a bit. 🙂
Oh yes! What better way to escape our little routine? I used to be an avid reader, but the past year has brought mental fatigue that keeps me from concentrating, and I find it harder to follow long stories and get lost in them… I really hope things will get better soon 🙂
(((Hugs))) a fellow blogger just did a post about how so many people have not been able to read like normal this past year. It really is a thing! I still read but not as fast as usual and a lot of people are saying the same thing. Mental fatigue. You aren’t alone!
*Big hugs back* You are absolutely right. I’ve read about a ”syndrome” called covid fatigue, and I am pretty sure it got me, just like so many others… Having suffered from severe depression in the past, I’d say it is a feeling close to it, minus the dark thoughts. I’m just working on keeping as active as possible, until things slowly get back to ”normal”… *fingers crossed*

I totally understand you, Madame Suze 🙂 I love these moments too! When you just sit and enjoy being alive. *big hugs*
