Whoa! A loaded question. That could be a dangerous thing to know for just because one is more likely to commit a crime doesn’t mean they will. So what do you do, punish them before they commit the crime?
I completely agree with you. It is a little too much like playing God to me. I also agree with Sadje, and teach them about what is right and what is wrong.
nothing. for if we decided we needed to intervene, it opens up the doors to intervention for anything, eventually we idiots would decide abortion for characteristics or euthanasia for characteristics. That is the way to autocracy and a complete loss of personal freedoms.
Ooh, I’ve seen movies and tv shows depicting this scenario and it doesn’t look like it ends well for a lot of people because having this information allow people to judge others before they truly know the person. I’d vote this info should not be allowed to the public.
Comment on question of whether we humans or aliens are smarter. Based on recent actions by humans I doubt our status as the top dogs of intelligence. If aliens can find us and travel here across the vastness of space they are much smarter…if they see what we are doing down here and make a beeline for home, they are definitely smarter.
Fuck all, otherwise I am in a whole load of trouble

Perhaps we should ensure they have an upbringing with understanding of right and wrong.

I agree… That probably would be the best way to prevent crimes! 🙂

That’s the best we can do.

Yes, try our best to prevent them from making bad choices without taking away their ability to make choices.

Well… based on how well science has dealt with so many things lately… Shred the scientific study and burn it

Wasn’t there a Tom Cruise movie, Minority Report, about this. If I recall correctly, that didn’t end well.

I think we should do nothing and not spend a penny on this sort of study.

Provide education, supports and rehabilitation as a preventive measure. Works much better than the current punitive model.

Yes, we should make sure that they receive proper education and that the nature/nurture scale tips more towards nurture.
