If science could accurately predict who was more likely to commit crimes, what should we, as a society, do with that information?

  1. Whoa! A loaded question. That could be a dangerous thing to know for just because one is more likely to commit a crime doesn’t mean they will. So what do you do, punish them before they commit the crime?

  2. nothing. for if we decided we needed to intervene, it opens up the doors to intervention for anything, eventually we idiots would decide abortion for characteristics or euthanasia for characteristics. That is the way to autocracy and a complete loss of personal freedoms.

  3. Ooh, I’ve seen movies and tv shows depicting this scenario and it doesn’t look like it ends well for a lot of people because having this information allow people to judge others before they truly know the person. I’d vote this info should not be allowed to the public.

  4. Comment on question of whether we humans or aliens are smarter. Based on recent actions by humans I doubt our status as the top dogs of intelligence. If aliens can find us and travel here across the vastness of space they are much smarter…if they see what we are doing down here and make a beeline for home, they are definitely smarter.
