I really think we should find better fitting hobbies for the kids, John.

It was one of the very few moments of the day, when the young couple could spend time a little alone time with each other. John sipped on his coffee, slowly nodding.

Maybe, but quite honestly, I had already run out of ideas when the first lockdown ended… And you have to agree that it’s the only thing that will keep Sam and Lilly still for more than five minutes!

Laura sighed loudly. Having to run the house as a classroom, two seperate offices and managing to keep a home-feeling at the end of the day was already a puzzle… Keeping the kids entertained was indeed quite a challenge.

Don’t get me wrong, hon, I do enjoy the free time. But what about when they go back to school? Kids talk, John… And I doubt the other parents will approve.

Suddenly, a high pitched shriek came from the living room, quickly followed by Lilly and Sam’s thumping as they ran to the kitchen.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad! We made 316$ with our TDR-E stocks!!! We’re riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiich!!!!

The two kids started a happy dance, and Laura gave John a judging look. Introducing the children to the stock market was his idea, but to his defence, it had started as a joke, and he never would have thought they’d be interested, let alone successfull.

Of course, they didn’t understand all the twists, but from the start, both Lilly and Sam had been incredibly intuitive… And the app was so easy to use that John just had to transfer them 20$ to get Laura and himself a good two hours of tranquility. But maybe, it wasn’t age-appropriate, afterall.

Okay, okay… I’m cutting on their budget tomorrow morning. But you’re dealing with the whining!
