About to close the store for the day, Sarah heard the pickup truck pulling in the parking lot.
You’re a little late, Mister. she whispered, brooming around.
The door bells rang.
Sarah stood in awe, before running across the room into her fiancé’s arms. She just cried, her face burried in Nathan’s chest, enjoying the feeling of his tight hug.
She knew when she’d met him, that the army would eventually steal Nathan from her… But she wasn’t prepared for six whole months, missing him while he was abroad.
Sarah locked the door and turned the open/closed sign over.
