We have a liftoff!

Yesterday took place the fourth Skypy Sunday Chat.

I had reasonable expectations before opening the chat room… I knew that a couple of people had expressed an interest in joining in this week, but life being what it is, I also realized that I had no garantee anyone would show up.

Last week, three ladies met me on Skype for a live chat. I was hoping for at least three guests, again… And to my surprise, six of you Lovelies showed up to the party! (and boy, it did end up as a party… LOL)

Some of you just dropped in for a short while, while others spent the whole 2h30 that lasted the call. We shared about our little corners of the world, and had some good laughs, and for a moment, we broke all borders and connected together.

It was amazing! As someone else mentionned, I am now looking forward to this Sunday opportunity to get in touch with some of you, beautiful bloggers. I don’t know if you’ll all agree, but for those of us still confined, it is so nice to talk to someone else than the people we’re ”stuck” with, mouhahahahah!

These little chat sessions are also a chance to get to know writers you wouldn’t have come across otherwise, and give your own blog a little visibility. Win-win!! And it is so much fun, period.

I hope even more of you will join in next week!

And in the meanwhile, I’d like to invite you to visit the six lovely people I had the chance to talk to yesterday!

Trina from It’s Good to Be Crazy Sometimes

Suzanne from My Dang Blog

Jay-lyn from The Wonderful & Wacky World of a Single Mom

Apinder from Potato Sandwich

Simon from Simon’s Space

Larry from Family Care Givers

Special mention to Caramel, who didn’t participate to Skypy Sunday, but asked that I’d give a little shoutout for herΒ Great Blogger Bake Off & Summer Picnic, taking place during the July 18/19 weekend. Wether you enter the contest with a great cake, or just want to share your favorite picnic treats, just pay Caramel a visit, and help her prepare this very summery event!!

    1. It was… It is working surprisingly well, and I think everybody enjoyed the live meeting. Do you think you’ll consider joining in, someday? πŸ˜‰ You could play us a little song!

      1. Without giving any detail, a post I published privately password protected ended up in Jay-lyn’s inbox. I have no idea how. Bless her…she was kind enough to say she was not offended by it. I was scratching my head how WP delivered a private post to Jay-lyn…but it might be a WP mystery that will never be solved. Unless WP have rigged my private settings to include random emails to other bloggers. I am so glad it was Jay-lyn that saw it. She has a heart of gold and was so kind when she pointed it out to me!

      1. I do try, My geography is so bad, I am not sure if when you look on a map whether Greenland is the left or the right of the UK, but we certainly need more people from either the left of Britain or the North of London and south of America.

I was so thrilled to meet Larry, I was very disappointed he doesn’t ride a horse to work, it really has ruined my view of Texas πŸ˜‰ but also how many people are just in his city, Totally transformed my view of Texas being rolling hills and oil

      4. I do need to sleep fairly soon, it was a nop day yesterday (Monday)

On a serious note I think my anxiety starts playing up massively on a Monday because of the Skypee Sunday’s its the 2nd week in a row. But my anxiety can go fuck itself, I enjoy meeting new people and finding out different things about different countries (although Larry is now going to have to get a horse)

  1. It was an absolute blast I loved it. And the fact no one called me out on having a hoot from the bong which you all saw but I did not lol. I have it scheduled into my phone so I get a reminder before hand. πŸ™‚

      3. Someday, when I find a way to make us all rich (ok, maybe not rich… but wealthy), we’ll have to meet in person and make a steak-cooked-different-ways tasting πŸ˜‰

  2. Thanks for hosting this get together, Cyranny. I’m glad I got to join and meet you and the other ladies finally. Wish I could have stayed longer. Next week is already on my schedule. I’ll see if I can find a cowboy hat for the lady in London. πŸ˜‚

Enjoyed reading all of the blogs as well – some really great writing.
