Food humor, heat wave and a little hide & seeking!

In these times of confinement, I realize that I am lucky to be easily entertained. I thought I could share with you all a couple of examples of little things that make me smile…

This morning, Nova posted a series of Mom Quotes & Dad Jokes, and the last one reminded me of a short video that cracks me up everytime I watch it. Adam Patch claims that he recorded his wife telling a short joke, while she was drunk. He then created a cute animation to give life to the characters. Is the story true? I don’t know, and I don’t care… Tipsy people telling jokes are just funny! Well, she is, to me.

Spending so much time at home, watching tv takes more of my free time than ever before in my life. I try to watch documentaries and interesting movies, but I often end up catching up on the (lack of) news. Our 24 hours news channel is known for its typos, and you won’t even need to understand French to get this one:

I am so glad that none of my close family lives in Québec City! Even if this was in Farenheits, it would still be way too much to bear for any Freezinglander. Thank God it was partly covered with clouds… Can you imagine how hot it would have been, if it had been sunny??

Having a cat is an endless source of entertainment. When it is not sleeping, that is, which means that you have to embrace the quality time with your pet when it happens. Especially when you have a grumpy cat like Miss Freja.

Our favorite game is ”Hide & seek”, and it usually looks more like tag. I’ll run after her, until she hides under a bed, or behind a closet. Then I’ll pretend to run away and go hide behind a door, until Freja ”finds” me, and then we repeat a couple of times.

But every now and then, my fluffy furball takes things more seriously… Like this morning:

I just stood there, giggling and imagining how proud Freja must have felt, hiding so well! She eventually fell asleep there, and spent most of the day napping under the bed covers.

What about you? What little things put a smile on your face?

A;so, I saw this guy buying a cake for his girlfriend after she finally farted in front of him…it took her three years…but then that too was accidental while she was sleeping and she tried to blame it on their dog 😀 the cake read, “Took you three years, congratulations for finally farting” 😀 😛
