Having my kids out of school! Yes, even when they were little I was that way. I loved the more relaxed schedule, even amidst the days of sibling rivalry and “Mommy, I’m bored!”
Hahahaha… Do you remember getting bored yourself, during summertime vacation, as a child? I don’t… It surprises me that kids now get bored so easily 😉
Totally Agree, for no I don’t! I had my books!
I will say that it was mainly just my one child that got bored. My other one was better at entertaining themselves! 🙂
Awww, that’s cool! I remember that when I was a little girl, my parents always took 2 weeks of vacation, and I spent one with Mom’s parents, and one with Dad’s…. They were probably my two favorite weeks of the year, with Christmas week 😉
Oh yeah!! Great pick… People don’t do that often enough anymore! I also love the shooting stars’ showers, happening in August 🙂 I could spend all night lying somewhere, staring at the sky!
Well, it certainly is not the high temps, I can tell you that. However, I love listening to children play outside and the giggling… I love the fireflies that flicker on those humid evenings… I love not being bundled up to the neck with coats, scarfs, and boots… And, I love seeing gardens blooming all around my neighborhood. Truly stunning.
Hehehehe yeah, summer sure comes with its highs and downs, but I think that the good side tops the bad 😉 I love all the examples you mentionned… Especially the fireflies! They are almost magic creatures, aren’t they??
Oh,I love fireflies… Tonight is suppose to be a bit on the humid side, so I’m hoping we can enjoy thme. Dragonflies and fireflies are Summer’s little fairies! 🤗
🙂 That was unexpected, but I did love to run in the rain as a child. I guess adulthood made me forget that, because I don’t have the time to do it anymore… But then again, last Saturday, when the Imagine Dragons show started in the pouring warm rain, I remember telling myself that it would be magical because of the rain. So it is probably still there, in me 😉
It is not easy at first… You have to accept to look silly at times, and let yourself be impressed by little things. Follow fireflies, enjoy rainbows, question everything you feel like questionning 😉 Basically, forget adulting from time to time. All the rules, the ”musts” and the ”mustn’ts” 🙂 If that makes any sense 😛

Well I wish him (or her) to find all the little joys (wink wink) of summer, and never be bored again, during this amazing season!

I think we forget so much about ourselves growing up.

Great picks, Carol Anne! Time at the beach is probably the greatest summer classic! Nothing (well almost nothing) can go wrong at the beach 🙂
