Wall of Fame…

Ok, that might be a little big, but I thought it sounded cool.

Who wouldn’t want to be on a wall of fame, right? Wouldn’t you? Because I can arrange that very easily, having recently started my own!

The Fame part might be a little far stretched, since I am pretty much the only one enjoying the view… But still. It’s there, and it’s begging to have some more people on it.

What happened exactly, is that after receiving Candace’s beautiful cards, last month, and also one from my dear Mrs Completely the month before, I thought that these needed a place where I could see them regularly. I didn’t want to put them in a treasure box, or in a drawer, where I’d have to dig in to enjoy them again.

So I thought about hanging them at my office.

Most of my co-workers have family pictures hung, but I always kept my desk pretty anonymous. Last week, I put the three cards there, and I liked it right-away. I found it to be uplifting to look at them from time to time, when the days were long, and the customers cranky. On one of Candace’s cards, there is a “May your day be filled with sunshine” inprint that never fails to put a smile on my face.

So I thought… Why not make it my Lovelies’ Wall of Fame??

I have plenty of place for many more cards, and if any of you wants me to add yours, just let me know by email and I’ll send you my mailing adress! And I’ll keep you all posted if I add new cards to the wall.

And on the plus side… If you are a regular in The Cove, you probably know that Booh Boss doesn’t exactly like me. And although she wouldn’t admit it, I know she doesn’t like any display of appreciation and/or support given to me. So… Yeah, I am pretty sure this will get on her nerves! Hah! That thought just made my smile wider.

I can’t remember the exact quote, but it was something like “Be kind, even around mean people… At least it will annoy them!” (let me know if you know the actual quote, please!) and I think that’s very true. Having a cheerful positive work station will bug her e-ve-ry-day…

So… Game on, Lovelies! Who’ll be the next up on my Wall of Fame?

    1. Mouahahahahaha yes! I read that one, somewhere 🙂 Thanks for sharing Suze!! Let me know if you can’t find the adress, I’ll email it again, no problem… Just don’t wrap your card in a Sia wig… you know what happens to Sia wigs at the border! LOL

      1. ya know..that still totally pisses me off that I couldn’t get that wig across the border to you! WHAT AN INCREDIBLY STUPID THING TO BLOCK! ARGGGGGGGGGG

      2. I agree… I have a feeling they have a list of completely random things they just won’t let cross the border. Or maybe I am unaware of an already too big number of Sia wigs in Canada… Maybe we have met our quota of wigs per inhabitant?

  2. I don’t think I could make a card. I could find a special one somewhere and send it to you, I suppose. But I don’t know your address.
A wall of fame is probably not somewhere that I belong, anyway.
But I am all for being nice to everybody. And I don’t do it to send people mad. I do it because it feels good.

    1. Oh! I would love to hang a card from you on my wall! And it would most likely be the source of much smiling throughout my shifts! I’ll email you my adress, no pressure, no expectations… Just in case 😉

And I just want to add that I don’t do this to make a certain someone bitter… I just find it amusing that one would get annoyed by such a simple and innocent thing as a couple of post cards on a wall! 😛

      1. I can send some sort of card, of course. I’ll be in Canada in a few days time – no point in sending one from there …. so give me a little time for my ‘wall of fame’ contribution

      2. Where in Canada, if I may ask? Our country is a big one… I am not even hoping you are stopping anywhere near Montréal, but I am still curious 😉

      3. Yes. You do have a big country, and I’m only just tiptoeing through a very small bit of it. The actual aim of the exercise is to attend a wedding in Anchorage …. but a few of us will be taking a slow boat from Vancouver to get there.

      4. Oh! I hope you’ll enjoy your time in Vancouver 🙂 I wish I could tell the same about your stay in that remote part of the US, but it is one of the only places in the world where I wouldn’t set foot, even if my life depended on it… 😛

      5. Nothing you have to worry about… I just have a strong dislike for that state for personal reasons. We might discuss that someday, just not in public.

    1. No worries, dear 🙂 I don’t manage to keep up with the blogs I follow closely, and I don’t expect people to read mine religiously either 😛 I’m glad you saw what I did, though, because your cards do make a positive difference in my life, daily!

I love the ”Mean people suck” idea! LOL That would send a message, wouldn’t it? 😛
