Kristian, from Tales from the mind of Kristian has kindly nominated me for the Solidarity Blogger Award! Although I didn’t expect this nomination, it didn’t surprise me, since we have been working together on the Word of the Day Challenge blog, since last June. Kristian is a great collaborator, and the kind of gentleman it is always a pleasure to share this blogging adventure with. Thank you, Kristian!
What is a Solidarity Blogger Award Nomination?
SIWO (Success Inspirers’ World) is an International Friends Blogging Forum. The idea is to encourage team work and to blog together as a community. As an international friends blogging forum, Success Inspirer’s World provides an opportunity that every blogger is looking for – the opportunity to get more exposure and find more followers and readers.
The Rules:
1. Write a post on your blog thanking the person who nominated you.
2. Paste the award in the post.
3. Provide a link to the blog of the person who nominated you.
4. Tell Success Inspirers’ World, SIWO what you think about solidarity blogging. Is it worthwhile?
5. Nominate 10 bloggers for the award and inform them.
To me, solidarity is a must to make this blogging adventure worth it. Of course, there are some free electrons out there, people who don’t feel the need to interact with others, other than the occasional reply to a comment. That’s fine by me, but I couldn’t blog that way.
I started blogging three years ago, and it wasn’t long before I begun sharing other bloggers’ work, and I got published on other sites too. I partnered with people around the world, participated to challenges, and joined countless Meet & Greet parties.
All of this led to being part of a community that goes way beyond blogging. On a daily basis, we share a little bit of our lives, discuss our thoughts, and sometimes even confide feelings we wouldn’t tell the people closest to us.
Even if I would prefer that this never happened, the best proof that solidarity is crucial in blogging, is when some of us team up to stop someone from doing the irreparable. Unfortunately, on a couple of occasions, a blogger expressed distress through a post. Each time I witnessed this, a wave of support and love followed, and help was seeked.
And I like to think that if I ever needed that kind of support, I would get it too.
There are so many people I could nominate. I know that some of men and women in my list already got nominated and some have award free blogs. So just consider this as a sample of the lovely bloggers who have given solidarity all its sense, in The Cove!

Okie, that’s not ten people. I cheated. And the list is not complete either. But real life is calling….
Again, thank you, Kristian 🙂
Thanks for the shout out, mon amie. I’m award-free, but I certainly appreciate your thinking of me. 😊😊

Thank you Cheryl 🙂 I think it really fits you too! Your interaction with other bloggers makes a big difference… I, for one, would certainly write a lot less if it weren’t for your constant encouragements… *Big hugs, Lady*

thanks sweetie……..I don’t think there’s a nicer ‘award” out there..unless you count the YCMMBABP Award. THAT is the one that means the most to me.

You are very welcome, dear Madame Suze. There is no way I could have left you out of this list… You’ve been around since the very clumsy beginnings of The Cove, and you’ve helped a whole lot growing it into what it has become. I am very grateful for having you in my blogging circle, and for bringing your sweet craziness in my world! Thank you, Lady! xx (and yes, I am biased, but I love the YCMMBABP Award too… I should grant a new one soon! It’s been way too long since the last nomination. Thank you for reminding me!!)

I’ve never heard of an “award-free” blog–didn’t realize that was a thing! Thank you for nominating me for an award–it’s such a kind thing to do, and I have no problem responding, especially since the blogging community has been such a tremendous support to me. I’ll try to get to it next week, as this week’s post is already up:-) Also, I had previously thanked you for the lovely card, but wasn’t sure the comment showed up–it was such a pleasure to find it in my mailbox!

Yeah, some bloggers prefer to make their blog Award-free, when they don’t have time to reply to awards, or when they just don’t like to participate. It was a pleasure to include you in my list, and I will check out your post when it comes up 🙂 No rush at all! I really like this award, since it celebrates this very special clan feeling in the bloggosphere! I can’t wait to read what you have to say about it 🙂 I am sorry for not answering your previous comment yet, it was a long week and I did fall behind. I am so glad you enjoyed my little card! It wasn’t much, but it came from the heart! *hugs*
P.S. Recently I remembered a post I read a while back. It was from a lady blogger, about a time she ended in a bar where there was a special liquor that she tried. If my memory is good (it is not, LOL) there some dead guy’s finger in the bottle… It was a hilarious post, and I am pretty sure the lady was a fellow Canadian. I thought it was Mrs Completely, but I was wrong… Would this, by any chance, be one of your stories? If so, could you send me the link to it, please? 🙂

It’s not mine, so I would suggest the Mrs.!

aw I loved reading your thoughts on this!! Blogging is such a funny/awesome juxtaposition- there is the solidarity element that I love so deeply of unwinding at the end of the night in the quiet- just me and the blog, and yet connecting with so many all over the world at the same time! It’s restful, but fulfilling too. Have a great rest of the week, Cyra!! xo
