I have been thinking about this for some time.
If you are a blogger too, you’ll understand the feeling. Especially if, like me, you are used to post on a daily basis.
You go about, blogging, and enjoying yourself doing it, and suddenly, Life happens. It doesn’t really get in the way, per say. It just happens, and you have to be quiet, or at least keep blogging activities to a minimum for a couple of days.
I can’t help but think about leaving a note behind, but I often don’t because;
- It would be incredibly pompous to pretend that anyone needs to know where I have gone, when I disappear for a couple of days.
- I don’t necessarily want to tell what’s happening in my life. And let’s face it, odds are pretty high that it wouldn’t interest you. At all.
- That’s pretty much it.
And tonight, when I finally could sit back, and check on the messages waiting for me after a long day of family gatherings, I had a flash.
I found this sign, and I decided I would post it on The Cove’s door, whenever I have to take a day off (or a couple) for personal reasons.
That way, I’ll be able to occasionally take guilt-free Me time.
So if you see the sign on the door when you visit The Cove, know that the door is still open. You just might not find anything “new” to read. But you are welcome to come in and check out older posts of mine.
And I’ll be back in no time. When I am done talking to the fairies… Hehehehe
Lovely idea. 🙂 x

Thank you Eleanor 🙂 One goal I have set for myself, in 2019, is to eliminate the guilt of not having as much time as I’d like to put on posting and answering comments really fast. This sign should help a lot 🙂 At least people will know I am out for a little while! xx

It is no business of mine where you go as long as you come back

I think we all have times we have to leave the computer behind, and it is useless to explain ourselves. But I like the idea that people will know I didn’t disappear, and that I am just temporarely out 😉 Have a lovely week, Tony! xx

I could lend you my “Gone Fishing” sign too! I might use your “Away with the Fairies” one too. Makes perfect sense too me!

Please go ahead and use the Fairy sign too 🙂 And I just might borrow yours too…. Can’t always be out doing the same thing everytime, right? 😛 Who knows, if we are lucky, we might meet at the fairies’, or in a rowing boat, someday… Hehehehe

Great idea! I think I’ll do the same type of thing. Sometimes inspiration is in short supply but I’m dead yet. 😊
