I need some good thoughts… (and update)

I just found out I lost something extremely important. I can’t say more, but believe me, I am totally upset at the moment.

I am just asking for a good thought, while I am turning my apartment upside down to find it.

If you believe in God, please send a prayer. If you don’t, send good vibes.

Please… I know it probably won’t change anything, but I need any bit of help I can get right now.

I won’t be answering comments, posting or reading anything until I’ve found it back. Sorry for that.

Wish me luck.

Please.

Wow…

I posted the above exactly half an hour ago. I had been searching my apartment for two hours, looking at the regular places I should have found what I was looking for, and then looking in more unlikely places… Very methodically.

When I wrote the post, I was in panic! I was ready to empty my garbage can, in case it would have fallen in it, right after I left the keyboard.

My beliefs are sometimes a little blurry, but I do believe there’s something or someone higher than us, and I believe that good energy can make a difference…

I must be right, because after thinking “yeah, right, take time to complain about your loss on your blog… That‘s going to help!!” and after getting you awesome people’s good thoughts, I found what I was looking for.

In my dishwasher…  ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I suspect Freja… Otherwise I had a very very weird case of sleepwalking.

So thank you Tony, Eleanor, Trina, Kate, Sandra, Cheryl,  Kat and you, from A Single Parent’s Life!!

Pfewwwwww

  1. Try this, Take a deep breathe and say this “Dear St. Anthony please come around something is lost and it cannot be found”

He is the Catholic Saint of lost and found things, I believe in bollocks all, but he always seems to turn up trumps for me

    1. I updated the post not to repeat myself too much in the comments, but I did find what I was looking for, and it was so little time after posting this, that I can only thank you all for channeling the good energy my way 🙂 xx Wow, I don’t remember the last time I was this relieved!

    1. Worked out very well (and thank you for the video that brought me back to my childhood!)

You’ve been looking for 2 things for two weeks?? Yikes, I hope they’re not things you absolutely need… You should try Trina and Sonofa’s trick… 😉 xx

    1. Thanks 🙂 Yeah that was quite a scare, but luckily it ended well! And don’t say that, maybe Life just decided that your good thoughts would help me some other day, when the others aren’t in front of their computers 🙂 *Hugs*

  2. Happy you found it! Sound like a ring. My friend once accidentally baked her ring inside a chocolate cake. She was baking and it fell off and was not to be found for a few days until the cake was eaten. That was emotional…

  3. I am really pleased you found it.

I never underestimate the efficacy of prayer. Years ago my Mum had bought herself a pair of false eyelashes. It was a frivolous thing to do because she hadn’t worn them since the 1960’s and it was a bit of fun for her. I said to her, go on try them on, but as she took them out of the packet she had a hand spasm (she had just turned 70) and dropped them on to the patterned carpet. It was like looking for a particular hair on a barbershops floor. My Mum said, oh well there’s no point in looking, it’s gone. I was so upset because she had been so looking forward to giving them a try and I had been the one who encouraged her to get them out.

I sad down on the floor and prayed. Please God, let me find those eyelashes.

Then I stood up and looked down and there they were right by my feet!

    🙂

    1. That definately defies the odds… eye lashes on a patterned carpet would have been almost impossible to find 😉

Yes, I do believe that asking for a little help can make a difference… yesterday being a proof of it, for me.

Thanks for sharing this moment with your Mom 🙂

      1. Yeah I heard about the incredible summer, all around Europe. It seems like everybody signed up for a dry and terribly hot summer this year!

Must be quite destabilizing for people like you, U.K. citizens, to go for so long without rain… I never visited U.K. yet, but I remember when my parents traveled there, when I was a kid. The souvenir they had brought back for me and my brother were umbrellas… Says a lot about the country! 😉
