Sleepover party at The Cove!

We’ve just turned the calendar’s page again, and following January and February parties’ success, I think it is time we give it another round!

Some of you might have noticed that I have been pretty quiet lately. I appologize for that… I know I’ve missed a lot of good posts, and haven’t been the most creative. I guess winter is starting to kick in, and my energy is running low. What better way to crank that up, than by throwing a party, right??

Trina suggested a sleepover theme, and I think that’s a great idea! No fussing around getting all prepped up, and preparing fancy foods and drinks. I’m throwing a couple of logs in the fire place, I’ll prepare hot chocolate, coffee and lots of yummy cookies, and you just bring your smile and stories to tell!

Join in and have fun!
Pjs aren’t mandatory,
As long as you come!

So grab yourself a cushion and a blanket, and make yourself comfortable! Tell your friends and share the invitation around… As the evening sets, slowly heading to the East, I hope you’ll drop by, and mingle a bit!

So here are the “rules”…

  1. Introduce yourself and your blog a little, for people who wouldn’t know you already.
  2. Share links to your blog, and/or to friends of yours’ in the comment box!
  3. Reblog this link in your blog, if you don’t mind of course! The more the merrier… And I’d love to see tons of new faces around!
  4. Stay around to chit chat a little… If you are a regular in The Cove, you know I love to fool around!

And again, sorry for being a little bit off track lately. I’m just charging up, hoping to be my old self again soon! I hope you Lovelies will bear with me!

Muuuuuah!

      1. Hahahaha yes, you shall, indeed! Keep the mystery going… I like mystery 🙂

It is a pleasure to offer a place to get together! My past 2 parties have brought a lot of bloggers in, and I think it is a fun way to discover new people 🙂

    1. Thank you for dropping in, Candice 🙂 It’s always a pleasure to see you around!!
I have a question for you… Do you limit yourself to one or two posts a week, or is it a pace that you just feel comfortable with?

      1. That’s about as much as I can handle at the moment. Maybe someday I will have so many inspiring experiences, and so much time, that I’ll be more prolific in my blogging. Thanks for your interest.

      2. I was just wondering because it felt as if you were keeping yourself from posting more often.

I don’t have any problem with bloggers posting once or twice a month, or a couple of times a day… The only kind of blogs I stay away from is when someone reblogs a hundred times a day, and has no original content. It just floods my Reader, and I miss interesting posts from other people because of the constant feed….

  2. I do need some help on something technical…..
I had a dumb idea to create some sort of semi-regular ‘column’ ….. something that followed a consistent theme, much as I have seen elsewhere (regular writing prompts and the like) through which I might encourage contributions or suggestions. Like most of my dumb ideas I might go through with it until such time as the embarrassment becomes unbearable. The trouble is that I have no idea how to do it. Any tips?

    1. That’s interesting 🙂 I think it is a good idea, and it is a way to build some kind of blogging routine. What were you thinking of doing exactly?

I believe that the best way to start a series of related posts is to first publish a post describing what you have in mind, and invite people to join in and share… I’d really be interested in trying it out, that’s for sure! Then, it’s a word of mouth thing, that will make it grow from week to week…

Tell me more, it will be easier to try to help 🙂

      1. Well see? You already have two potential participants… and I know others would join in! I think it helps to use the same picture for every post of the series, people can recognize the posts easily while scrolling down your blog…

    1. Hehehehe No rush, Trina 🙂

Thanks for crashing the party! xx Without you, we wouldn’t be celebrating 😛 Come back for a hot drink when you have a minute, we can discuss Monkey’s bday and make arrangements to take him to Legoland!

      1. I shall be popping in and out. My sister is taking him to Chessington (a different theme park) He phoned her to thank her and did say but I would of preferred Legoland as I am trying to wrestle the phone off him, the child is obssessed

      2. I watched a documentary about Legos not long ago. There is a yearly contest, where amateurs can propose new Lego buildings, and the winning entry gets to see their model sold worldwide… I’ll try to find the link. Maybe someday Monkey could give it a try 😉

  3. It’s nice to see the party is still jumping. Richmond Road, if I may, I wanted to invite you to look at my home page and under the header you will find a series button. Click on it and it will describe to you how I go about running series on my blog. Some weeks I have participation and this week (Monday), I had none but that doesn’t stop me from doing it myself. Perhaps I will join Cyranny and partake in yours

    1. Thank you for helping, Eve 🙂 I’ve noticed these posts, and I really have to visit more often to participate… I’ve just been a bit in the mud for a couple of weeks. Maybe I just need to kick myself a little 😛 hehehehe

      1. I understand. There is so much out there to participate in. I know it is difficult to decide which one. I would love to have you over on a Monday. The rest are series that are for scheduled posting, for me, for ya’ll … if that makes any sense. I appreciate even the smallest audience.

      2. I’m checking yesterday’s Wyf post… and I just want to be sure… You want to know our favorite song, and why… Is that it? 🙂

        Like

      3. Well I was more specific with a song lyric. I should have gone more into detail as I posted vaguely. A line in a song that speaks to you.
When no one participated I realized how much my post lacked detail. I’m learning as I go. 😞

      4. I think it is often a number of circumstances… Some days people just don’t have time, or the theme proposed just doesn’t speak to readers that specific day… I just wanted to make sure I got what you were looking for 😉 I’ll work on that a little later, and link you in!

  7. Hey! 🙂
    Thanks for hosting, Cyranny. 🙂
I am quite a newbie here, not much longer than a month of blogging on my current blog. My name is Emilia, I’m 21, Polish, and have lots of interests, of which languages are probably the biggest. My blog is like another diary for me, so I write a lot about my feelings, thoughts, experiences and my daily life. ALso I write about anything that interests me, that I find beautiful, fascinating, frustrating, that I like/love or that matters to me in any way. Because I’m blind and have several mental health issues and want to at least a bit spread awareness about all that, this is also one of aspects of my blogging. While I suck at meeting new people and am socially anxious, I like to get to know them, I like to see different personalities of people and learn more about people, I mean as individuals, so some tme ago I started question of the day series where I ask my readers a question every day and I also answer it so that they could get to know me more as well. I have a Russian blue cat named Misha who is my best friend and my everything and he he also likes to post from time to time about his adventures or whatever he has in his little, furry, grey head.

    1. Welcome to The Cove, Emilia 🙂 It is very nice to meet you, and your blog seems very lovely!

I’ve read about your interest in Scandinavia (OoOOoooOooOOh!!) and I was wondering… Did you get the chance to visit it, yet?

I hope you’ll enjoy your time here… *big hugs*

      1. Hi Cyranny. 🙂 Thanks for the welcome. 🙂 You like Scandinavia too? 🙂 Yes, I’ve been to Sweden once, and would absolutely love to go there once again. Or twice. And then again. And again if it’ll be possible. 😀

      2. I LOOOOVE everything about Denmark! I have been there 3 times already, and last time I traveled there, I also visited Sweden and Norway 🙂 I am also trying to learn Danish… Where have you been in Sweden?

        Liked by 1 person

      3. Oh, that’s great! 🙂 Danish is a lovely language, although despite my ability to pick up the phonetics of languages quickly I’ve never got how to naturally produce all those peculiar sounds they have. No wonder Danish kids learn to speak later than other European kids. 😀 I’ve been to Stockholm, it’s such a lovely place with so much to see. It’s addictive.

        Liked by 1 person

      4. I agree, it is a lovely language, though very hard to master 😉 The soft D is giving me a hard time 😛 French is my mother tongue, and that helps me, compared to an English speaker trying to learn it, I think.

I loved Stockholm too! I spent 3 days there… Here are posts I wrote about my visit, if you’d like to read about it 🙂

  9. HI! Thanks for the invite. Sleepover parties are always fun! Are the cookies gone yet, or can we roast S’mores by the fire?
My blog is a variety of different things. Tuesdays I always post a collection of quotes for there just are so many good ones out there! Fridays I do short, short stories. Like your 6 word stories, but I don’t always stick to 6 words.:)
In between I post serious posts and fun stories. My goal is to provide smiles and hope as we all go through this roller coaster of life!
I am gong to post the link of my post from today. I am sharing a story from the book that another fellow blogger and collaborated on. A children’s book, but yet adults will love the stories as well. Its been a lot of fun and we hope to have the book in the very near future.
Take a peek and see what is happening on Moonbeam Farm, where fun and laughter and love always reside.

That story is actually not at the beginning of the book but rather in the middle. 🙂 I picked that one because of the snowy day that we were supposed to have but didn’t. .
