Amy, from Bedlam & Daisies posted a couple of beautiful pictures taken while flying over Greenland’s glaciers… You can see her post here. I took a long look at the breath taking sceneries, before spotting the Wow logo at the end of the plane’s wing.
I suddenly tumbled down Memory Lane, and made a quick back and forth mind trip to Denmark, via Keflavik… I wish I could have stayed longer, but I am at the office, and need some level of concentration… hehehe
I scrolled through the pictures taken on my phone during my last two trips, and came up with a couple of Greenland Glaciers pictures of my own… And thought I’d share them with you too!
Thank you, Amy, for bringing back these sweet memories!
So much beauty in the world…. So little time to see it all!
So lovely!! I soooo agree with your last line!

Thank you! I think it is so amazing to see the earth from such height! It makes you realize how very tiny we, human beings, are!

Yes indeed, Donnalee! And so many we’ll never get a chance to see… I am glad to share the ones I’ve been lucky enough to visit, so others can enjoy the view even if they can’t go in person 🙂

The internet has been great for showing photos that otherwise would never come to our attention.

I wish you a similar experience, dear Eleanor 🙂 I’ve also flown over the French Alps once… It was quite a memorable sight too!!

Super cool! I wonder, when we fly from Toronto to Amsterdam, will we cross a similar path?

Unfortunately, I doubt you would go that far North… But who knows? The airline company might have a little extra fuel to burn… 😉

I figured not. I’m assuming it’ll be like every other continental flight I’ve taken. Lots and lots and lots of water. Makes me wish I could sleep on plane. 😏

Thanks so much for the wink Cyranny. I’m so happy that my post brought back wonderful memories for you. I was like a little kid at Christmas when I looked out and saw those glaciers. My mom had dozed off and I was like “wake up, wake up” 🙂 Your photos are stunning!!

Thank you Amy! I was also thrilled when I noticed we had a perfectly clear sky on the way back to Canada! When I flew to Iceland, it was a night flight, so I didn’t even know we had flown over Greenland…. I love these moments that wake up the inner child in us 🙂

Thank you, dear Bag Lady 🙂 Hehehehe, I understand the feeling… I can’t imagine how chilly it must be down there, with the winds! Brrrr! Still, I’d be curious to see these sceneries from the ground! 🙂

I get stunning views like that when I fly over the Alps (it’s not me that’s personally doing the flying, if you get my drift).
