One can’t forget the vast importance of homemade hot chocolate. I despise that shit from a can, you know, add water and heat? But it’s not just holiday time, all year round, I make my own stuff. Canning and the like. Subsistence living and all that. So homemade soups and stews and home-brewed root beer and ginger ale and jams of course and fish oh boy, just all sorts of stuff.

Yum! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but for some reason, when I get cooking to treat others, I go for sweet… When I spend time in the kitchen for myself, stews and soups are more my thing.
Stews…. Hmmm *Eyeing the slow cooker* 😉

Ooh, yes! Homemade jam! Anything homemade is heaven to me! Sometimes we’ve got to learn to enjoy the finer things in life, and most of them don’t come from a store. 😉

I agree… I really should do more homemade gifts. But like a lot of people, it seems like time is like sand between my fingers…. Gone before you know it! And homemade things need that extra time… 🙂
