I’ve been one happy blogger lately. Not that I was a sad blogger before it, but for months, the Cove was pretty quiet, and it felt more like me giving lectures and framing my words to decorate the place than actually blogging.

I had the chance to have a few people who encouraged me to keep on going… And looking back on my débuts, things probably would have turned out pretty differently if they hadn’t been there… So big thanks to Rowena, the very first to hit the “follow” button, and Notthedane56, who greatly influenced my blogging as you already might know!

About a month ago, things changed drastically. The Cove literally came alive, with more people popping in to say “hi”, and the comment boxes filling up with feedback, and new flags showing up on my world map!

I won’t lie, I know that I worked for it. I have put a lot of time working on the Cove, looking for fellow bloggers that shared interest with me, and others that were very different, but complemented my ways of blogging. But there was still a bit of magic in the way it suddenly boomed out!

And one thing that happened, out of nowhere was getting Award Nominations. I had seen those on other blogs, but I honestly thought I still had a lot of work to do to get one. My first was a Sunshine Blogger Award that I filled on Thanksgiving day.

Now it is Halloween, and I have a Black Cat Blue Sea Award nomination waiting in my inbox… Black cat, Halloween… The timing seems perfect to me 😉

Madame Suze nominated me for the mysterious award about 2 weeks ago, with the following mention;

Cyranny’s Cove;   Cyranny is nuts..yep, I said it. She is a terrific nuts though and you will laugh and cry at her words. I adore her!

Well Madame Suze… The love goes both ways, and I am more than thrilled to accept this amazing nomination!!  And by the way, takes nuts to know nuts… Just saying 😉

I will not promote Suze’s blog. Because I am selfish, and I want to keep her to myself! Suze, just like me, doesn’t seem to need this stupid thing called “sleeping”, she is never farther than an arm length away from the keyboard, and has the funniest, craziest comments ready to brighten up your day, whenever you dare posting!

So please, don’t visit Suziland.net…. Otherwise, she might fall in love with YOUR blog, and I’ll be left wishing I still had her little green alien avatar showing up every now and then!

That being said… There was a nomination to accept here 😛 First, the description of the Black Cat Blue Sea Award;

1. What is the absolute best and absolute worst occupation? WHY????

I probably give too much thought about these award questions… Explaining in part why it took me 2 weeks to reply to this one. Let’s go with best first… Even if it probably doesn’t exist, I would LOVE to be Mads Mikkelsen’s personal back scratcher. I have long natural nails, which make me a great candidate, and I can make myself available 24/7. I am a very dedicated person, you see? 😉

The worst was a lot harder to find, but I am pretty sure it would be in everybody’s top ten! I learned a few years ago that hunters used deer pee to mask their own odor. I wondered how they could get female deer pee… and my crazy mind being what it is, I Googled, and found out the following;

Now, if that job doesn’t suck, tell me about one that does!! I rest my case, your Honor!

 

2. If you had to lose one sense (smell, sight, taste, hearing, touch) which one would you choose and why?

A long time ago, I would have said “taste” in a flash. I don’t eat a lot, and I thought I could live without tasting. But after some health problems, and a week spent at the ICU, not allowed to even drink water, I lost all my taste buds, and was left “tasteless” for months (before the buds “grew” back)… And I can say that I wouldn’t want to experience that again!! Me and my taste buds ARE very good buddies now! So… after much thinking, I would say “hearing”… But that would be bad for my job… I work on the phone 40h/week!

3. Without telling the title, tell me about your favorite book of all time. 

Ok, that is cruel, because I love many books… But I’d say it is the story of the ugliest man on earth, who gets involved in the fashion industry, because top models have become so dang beautiful, that he is the only way to make them even prettier (because of the contrast). He soon becomes the star of the show, and his oddness draws all the women to him, even if he is hideous. A wonderfully written analysis of the concept of beauty…

1. If you had the choice, would you rather have a time-traveling, or teleporting device? Why?
2. If you could take the place of any fellow blogger, who would it be and why? (Yeahhh  name dropping, baby!! 😉 )
3. Being stuck alone for the rest of your life, or never be alone anymore ( I mean really having at least another person by your side every.second.of.the.day), and, yes, why?
